Haploids
All reproductive systems contain half the number of chromosomes to go under sex. During the process, the sperm and the egg both goes through a process, "Fertilization" to create a fertile offspring.
Sperm/EggBefore Fertilization, the male reproductive system creates haploid, "Sperm" cells. When they come into contact with the female reproductive system, "Eggs", the sperm would travel through the vagina, with the fluid like state to go through the mucus within the vagina.
FertilizationNow, the sperm fuses with the eggs and produces the zygote, or the diploid. This state now has the full set of chromosomes and ready to divide to produce a fertile offspring. In this process, only one sperm with the DNA fuses with the egg.
